The QR code for Cornerstonelc.wordpress.com

Or, email this link to QR Code:

http://goo.gl/C30GY

——————————-

A QR code is a code that when read by a smartphone’s camera, will download a program, give them a message, take them to a website (like this one), or many other things. QR codes are now on some products, and it will pull up a list of every store that product, for comparison shopping.

Nowadays, it costs no money to make a QR code, like this one. It was made from http://qr.zeemind.com/, which runs a free QR code creator, and as an extension for Chromebooks/Google Chrome. They are useful, as they can hold any type of data, and can even be used as a signature for a email!

Lyrics:

TryHardNinja:
So we back in the mine, got our pick axe swinging from side to side,
This task a grueling one, hope to find some diamonds tonight,
Heads up, you hear a sound, turn around and look up, total shock fills your body,
Oh no it’s you again,
I could never forget those eyes

‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all our stuff again,
‘Cause baby tonight, you grab your pick, shovel and bolt again,
And run, run until it’s done, done, until the sun comes up in the morn’
‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all our stuff again,

Just when you think you’re safe, overhear some hissing from right behind,
That’s a nice life you have, shame it’s gotta end at this time,
Blows up, then your health bar drops, you could use a 1-up, get inside don’t be tardy,
So now you’re stuck in there, half a heart is left but don’t die

‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all your stuff again,
‘Cause baby tonight, you grab your pick, shovel and bolt again,
And run, run until it’s done, done, until the sun comes up in the morn’
‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all your stuff again,

Captain Sparklez:
Creepers, you’re mine

Dig up diamonds, and craft those diamonds and make some armor,
Get it baby, go and forge that like you so, MLG pro,
The sword’s made of diamonds, so come at me bro

Training in your room under the torch light,
Hone that form to get you ready for the big fight,
Every single day and the whole night,
Creeper’s out prowlin’ – alright

Look at me, look at you,
Take my revenge that’s what I’m gonna do,
I’m a warrior baby, what else is new,
And my blade’s gonna tear through you

Bring it

TryHardNinja:
‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all our stuff again,
Yeah baby tonight, grab your sword, armor and go, take your revenge,
So fight, fight like it’s the last, last night of your life, life, show them your bite,
‘Cause baby tonight, the creeper’s trying to steal all our stuff again,
‘Cause baby tonight, you grab your pick, shovel and bolt again,
And run, run until it’s done, done, until the sun comes up in the morn’
‘Cause baby tonight, the creepers tried to steal all our stuff again

I have recently acquired one of the new Chromebooks, and decided to write a review. So, here it is:

The Chromebook is exactly what it says. It focuses on using the internet. For the people upset about this, that is what it advertised; the web:

Chromebooks: Nothing but the WebThat aside, it boots up very fast (~6 seconds!), and is ready to login. The login is very simple, it just uses whatever @gmail email you gave it when it was first turned on. Some of them come with VZ 3G Wireless, (but, is $500 for that model) and you get 100 MB per month for two years.

Ever had to clear a computer because programs are taking up too much memory? The Chromebook gets around that! All programs are stored online, and can be downloaded at any time from the Chrome Web Store. The only program that CAN be offline I have found is Angry Birds (be happy for that, fans out there!).

Shutdown is as easy as the rest! Click the wrench (Yes, from Google Chrome, Chrome is the TECHNICAL operating system…), then Log Off, and then 1 second later, click shutdown, and it shuts down in 3 seconds.

The Intel Processor does it’s job, the computer is very fast. The internet is just as good: it connects to ANY available remembered network on login, and it is super fast on a just decent network. For a laptop (even a web one), this laptop is tops. Anyone wanting a cheap, fast laptop, should consider this one a major possibility!

Steve Jobs: Contributions to Technology

Posted: October 14, 2011 by ethanj in Technology

The recent death of Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, has been tragic. However, during his 56 year lifetime, he made some amazing contributions to technology.

From the beginning, in 1984, he intrduced the Macintosh Computer. However, in the end of 1984, a industrial wide sales slump caused Apple to layoff some people. Later, in late May 1985, Jobs became one of those people.

So, in the same year, with 7 million dollars, Jobs founded NeXT Computer. But, barely a year later, he had to apply for venture capital. Luckily, he attracted the attention of billionare Ross Peroe. So, in 1990, NeXT Workstations were released for $9,999.

After a few new computers, in 1994, NeXT told people it had made it’s first profit of 1.03 million dollars. In 1996, NeXT released WebObjects, a interface for application development. When NeXT was acquired by Apple Inc in 1997, WebObjects was used to make Apple Store, Mobile Me, and then the iTunes Store.

In 1986, Jobs bought the Graphics Group, later to be Pixar. While Jobs was there, they made several succesful movies, like the Toy Story series, WALL-E, and CARS, and several other animations. Many of them recieved Academy Awards of Best Animated Feature. After Disney purchased Pixar in and all-stock transaction worth 7.4 billion dollars, Jobs became the Walt Disney Company’s biggest shareholder with 7% of their stock.

In 1996, Apple announced that it would buy NeXT for $429 million, bringing Jobs back. Then, in July 1996, Jobs became CEO after Gil Amelio was fired. So, as Apple morphed with NeXT, many NeXT products found their way into Apple, such as NeXTSTEP, which became Apple Max OSX.

Through the years, Apple came out with iPod, Apple Store, iTunes Music Store, and, on June 29, 2007, Apple released the iPhone 1G.

Sadly, in August 2011, Steve Jobs announced his resignation from Apple as CEO, but remained on the board.

Through the years, Jobs has made many contributions to technology, and did a great job as Apple CEO, allowing the company to rival Microsoft.

Video Game Ratings

Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) is a rating company that rates video games. All the video game ratings are Ec, E, E10, T, M, AO.

Ec stands for Early Childhood. That means it has content that may be suitable for ages 3 and older. The games contain no material that parents would find inappropriate.

E stands for Everyone. Which means it has content that may be suitable for ages 6 and older. Titles in this category may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language.

E10 stands for Everyone 10+. That means it has content that may be suitable for ages 10 and older. Titles in this category may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.

T stands for Teen. That means it has content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

M stands for Mature. Which means it has content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

AO stands for Adults Only. Which means it has content that should only be played by persons 18 years and older. Titles in this category may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity.

RP means Rating Pending. Which means it has been submitted to the ESRB and are awaiting final rating. (This symbol appears only in advertising prior to a game’s release.)

I wish there weren’t ratings so I could play any game I wanted, but sadly there are ratings. I’m not sure if that would allow anyone to play any game they wanted but I think it would give you a better shot because one of the reasons some people can’t play any games they want is because of ratings. I’m not sure if parents would still look at the games or not.
