Apple Mac Buying Guide

Buying a Mac online is very easy, but there are some certain things you have to know before buying either.

Notebooks

Macs are generally  more expensive than PC’s but most Mac users are willing to spend a little more for apples operating system. The cheapest Mac laptop on the Apple Store is the Macbook Air, which is an extremely thin yet surprisingly powerful 11″  Notebook running an Intel Core i5 processor which is not bad for such a tiny machine. This Macbook also comes in a 13″ size but if you are going to want a 13″ screen size the smart way to go would be a Macbook Pro because of the cheaper price of $1199 (versus 13″ Air, $1300-1600) and because of the better hardware specs.

Desktops

Desktops can be way less expensive or way more expensive. It just depends what you are looking for. You could buy a desktop for just an internet or entertainment center or you could buy a powerhouse for much bigger things such as video editing, games, or other stuff. The Mac Mini is a desktop that is physically small but can be configured to be the best computer you have ever had! The cheapest new is $599 with a 500gb hard drive for music, movies and lots more! 2gb of RAM which is all right but for $100  more you can upgrade it to 4gb which would be better for multitasking or any complicated programs you would be running. Mac Pros can go anywhere from$2,499 to $16,249. They are powerful machines and can really handle anything. If you are looking to purchase on of these expensive machines, I would recommend going to an Apple Store and talking to professional before you spend thousands.

iMacs are another line of desktops that are all in one. That means that it has a built-in screen. These come in 2 sizes, 21.5″ and 27″. Both are expensive but both are worth it. 21.5″ go from $1199 and 27″ go from $1699. They have similar specs to the Macbook Pros but these have bigger screens and are NOT portable.

Now lets see what some satisfied customers have to say…

Mr. Jason:

Are you completely satisfied with your Macbook?

Yes, I am

What is your favorite feature that PC’s don’t have?

The track pad, simple, and rarely crashes.

Why do you use a Mac?

I love the operating system and the integrated parts of the system.

Would you recommend a Mac to others? If so, why?

I do all the time because it of what I just said and because it looks awesome and challenges the status quo of Windows.

So, what do you guys like better? Macs or PCs? Why? Leave your response in the comment section below.

However, Windows 7 is SO awesome, it has different modes:
    Starter: for netbooks
Home Premium: Home and School use
    Buisness: for at work
Ultimate: for anyone who wants it all
I have home premium, but I would love to have Ultimate!
